iseedocs - mobile email attachment viewing
iseedocs utilizes the iseemobility
infrastructure to provide interactive viewing of
document and image email attachments on mobile devices.
Using iseemobility's content transcoding and adaptation
technology, iseedocs provides viewing or downloading of
most common document and image formats regardless of
complexity. iseedocs dynamically generates a table of
contents, table of figures, and page thumbnails, any of
which can be used to navigate a document or slide show.
Document page navigation is also fully interactive
providing zooming and panning as well as interactive
viewing of embedded images, graphics, charts, tables,
etc. Documents can be viewed in their original
formatting if context is important. The iseedocs client
can communicate with the server directly, or for
increased security, tunnel through the secure email
connection. iseedocs supports POP/IMAP and push email
systems. A single client viewer handles all
functionality and is available for J2ME, SmartPhone,
PocketPC, and Symbian devices. A client for Brew devices
will be available in the future.
Now with iseedocs mobile users can instantly:
-
Access large and complex
document attachments.
-
Easily navigate
multi-page documents.
-
View most common formats.
-
“Zoom & Pan” documents,
images and graphs.
-
Receive & view popular
file formats like Microsoft Office, Adobe PDF, and
image formats such as JPEG, GIF, TIFF, BMP, etc.
iseedocs is a document viewing application which can be
integrated into any mobile POP/IMAP or push email
solution. It offers instant email attachment viewing of
most common document types regardless of document size
or complexity. The key features of iseedocs include the
following:
-
View email attachments on
mobile and wireless devices.
-
Provides quick access to
document attachments and a quality user experience
on devices with limited bandwidth and screen size.
-
Makes large documents
easy to access, navigate and read.
-
Includes all document
contents including graphs, drawings and images.
-
Provides interactive
resolution-on-demand viewing of all attached

iseedocs’ innovative approach to document adaptation and
delivery, provides users with quick and easy access to
documents in text, adapted and original forms and makes
mobile email attachments simple, easy to use and
ubiquitous to consumers. Adapted documents maintain much
of the original formatting, but are optimized to display
well on any mobile device, and original formatting
maintains the original document layout be it 8 ½" X 11"
or A4.
iseedocs makes mobile devices capable of presenting
documents in a format which closely resembles the
original, including embedded images, graphs, charts and
tables. With iseedocs, mobile users view popular desktop
file formats like Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint,
Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Visio, Adobe PDF, and others
on a wide variety of mobile devices.
iseedocs makes viewing large, complex documents easy and
quick.
Unlike most email attachment handlers, iseedocs delivers
a document index, which is also the document navigation
system. All pages, images and graphs are now accessible
on demand. Unlike other attachment viewers, iseedocs
does not download the document to the mobile device, but
delivers “pages” as they are requested. The user can
also “zoom and pan” the document, images and graphs,
providing a higher degree of information than is
normally available on mobile devices.
Using a Smart Adaptation Engine, iseedocs maintains
virtually the entire document formatting and content in
the system. So if a chart imbedded in the Word document
is too small to see specific details, the user can zoom
in to view more detail. If a 30 page document is being
viewed, and the user needs to review page 21, they can
access the page directly through a table of contents or
page thumbnail navigation system.
